SDRA MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION

In the fall of 1981, a non-profit association of racers and fans was formed to promote the growing sport of Drag
 Racing in Saskatchewan - The Saskatchewan Drag Racing Association (SDRA).  In January 1986, the SDRA
took over full operation of the Saskatoon International Raceway, an NHRA sanctioned race track that has been
in operation for over 40 years.   After a name change to “SASKATCHEWAN INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY”, to
reflect the broader scope of our membership (200 to 250 members each year), the SDRA set out to achieve it’s
goal of operating and promoting a first class race facility, for racers and fans alike.

Determination, and a lot of hard work, proved to be very rewarding for the SDRA membership by the fall of 1993.
That is when members, racers and fans gathered their funds together and became the ‘proud owners’ of the
only drag racing facility in Saskatchewan.

We invite you to become a member of this active and dynamic racing association.  As a member of the
Saskatchewan Drag Racing Assoc., you will receive the following benefits:

1) Informative newsletters which contain: race dates for SIR and other race tracks (when available); technical
    articles; member Feature articles;  SIR and SDRA news;  financial reports;  a ‘For Sale and Wanted’ advertising
    section.  Note: newsletters are published approximately every 8 weeks, or as necessary information becomes
    available.

2) Voice and vote on SDRA and SIR affairs.

3) Membership card and decal.

4) Eligibility for contingency programs.

5) Eligibility for discounts at sponsors offering discount programs.

6) Social events.

7) Free Pit Pass for members (spectators) at SDRA sponsored events at SIR, upon presentation of your Membership
    Discount Coupons.

8) Reduced entry fees at the Street Legal Events at SIR for racers who are SDRA members.

9) Participation in SIR’s Points Series and Year End Awards.

10) Participation in the joint-ownership of Saskatchewan International Raceway (More details upon request).

All of this and more can be yours for only $50.00 per year.  (Family membership fees, for additional persons living in
the same household are $5.00 each;    Family members who wish to race and receive points in any points series
must pay $50.00).
